5 Reasons You Buy So Many E-Books Looking for Magic Pill
This message will hit you right in the gut. It will not feel good either, so if you can not stand the truth … stop reading … but then call me when the money runs out for your internet business.
Just remember as you read this messages that you are not the only guilty of looking for a "magic pill" to explode your online business (I used to work as well in the beginning).
Nope, as a matter of fact, 90% of us (at least) is guilty of at least one if not all of these things (and if you think you are in the 10% club, do a hard check to be sure).
Take them to heart, make some mental changes, and your success online will soon find you.
There are five primary reasons why we get caught invest e-book after e-book that tries to search for some magic device that will skyrocket our online businesses with little effort. You can also use these five reasons to all information device attached to a sort of promise (remember sales letter).
I will tell you that no entity exists and while there are tools that accelerate your business growth, most of us do not make full enough use of these tools anyway.
NOTE: Coaching, mentoring and business growth groups are not included in this, because of an apparent difference, the types of instructions usually come with some sort of accountability factor and other variables as an ebook or course of study does not.
This brings me to our first reason …
Reason # 1 – Pieces of information
Have you ever bought an e-book that made a promise to you? Most do … from this one …
"Using this system to generate an income of over $ 10ka month in less than 30 days!"
for that one …
"I have found the secret to easy money on the internet!".
There are a multitude of promises made, but the reason that you will most likely never make the kind of money online with this one e-book is that it is only a piece of information.
Last time I checked an e-book can not "coach up" the rest of the response needed to make the system in e-book work. It would not be expected to do so. An e-book provides a Part of the answer, but the author of the e-book used a complete business system based on sound business growth principles in combination with the "solution" presented e-book to generate the results obtained and mentioned in the sales letter.
Frankly, the information in most e-books are really good and works. But odds you have all the other pieces in place to use these data to 100% of its potential is astronomical. Sorry for the dose of reality there.
In conclusion, if you had all the pieces you need to run a successful online business, you would have already installed one. Buying e-book after e-book is not the answer, unless you have grown businesses online before, and are damn sure that you only need one piece to make your system work.
For reason number two …
CAUSE # 2 – The Consumer Mentality
Let's face it, we all like to go shopping once in a while.
Guys, I do not want to hear "I never go shopping, I always know what I want to get from the store "line … because I know that the total BS (Craftsman tool department at Sears anyone ?:)).
As we like to shop as humans, and just "look for things to buy" once in a while, we have developed the so-called "Consumer Driven mindset". It has come to us all to a certain extent.
The sad part is applicable to e-books too.
And the website with the part that runs home my point here is The Warrior Forum of Allen says.
I have been a member of the forum for about three years now, … and who is one title that takes full advantage of "consumer driven mindset" in us all … the WSO, or Warrior Special Offer section. This part of the forum is specially created for the Warriors to sell and market their products to other Warriors.
Now thinking that for a second …
The Warrior Forum itself has enough information and such in order to build an online business in almost any niche you can think of. Some of this information comes from six and seven-figure wage earners online.
But yet there is a section on this forum Warriors sells to other Warriors, and thousands of dollars changing hands every day. From an Internet Marketer for a second.
Interesting huh? The forum has more than enough information to completely build an online business, but the same people who are members, and Internet business owners themselves, are also customers who buy even more information.
What a perfect lead us to reason 3rd
Reason # 3 – The Human Condition … laziness / Denial
Here is where I will lose most of you who read this post (which I appreciate by the way:)).
You know human nature has an element of laziness and denial in you. You can not deny it.
We all seek the shortest or most efficient way to do something … including building online businesses or make money online. For those of you who have success already, congratulations, but you are a part of this group as well. Successful individuals may have to look a little deeper into those "moments" of time where laziness creeps in, but it is there every time. We are not robots.
You can tell me that you work hard, are very successful, has "called in" marketing process etc. .. but you can not tell me that you are not human.
What does this have to do to buy e-books?
Well, a lot happens in our businesses is not it? So when you see an offer to make any part of that activity easier, or a "magic marketing shortcut" that points the way to double sales within 30 days or less … you start to think …
"Could this includes me and my business too?"
This thought leads to another …
"Could I be missing a piece of the puzzle?"
And Then denial set in. ..
"I buy this e-book with a magical solution, I would not be like other people who fall for the marketing behind the solution, I'm just taking advantage of this opportunity! "
And you buy the ebook or course of study looking for the answer. The really interesting point is … if a solid marketer developed this product … they are preying on the very emotions and a number of other, our laziness, denial, greed, ego, etc. ..
Another emotion is a reason to buy e-books in themselves though …
Reason # 4 – Misplaced Hope
I hate to bring this up … because it is so common.
Many of my coaching students clients and many other business owners have at some time "hoping" that their marketing or other business processes would work and that some big windfall were bound road.
Do you know who this type of Hope is? She is a tired old girl getting ready to retire … she can not wear business!
It is this misplaced "hope" in your business processes that can kill it … and if an e-book promises to bring you a ton of "hope" in a 50 plus page package … we fall for it all the time and buy that e-book. It is quite easy for any marketer worth the salt to penetrate this sensation at their will.
Quit hope and begin to test and taking a more scientific approach to your internet business. If developed properly, this scientific approach put yourself in a situation where instead of hoping you will get results …
You will know what results you will get!
Underlying 5 … the last reason for this article (which is actually a ton more).
Reason # 5 the feeling we are being "Lied To"
Have you ever bought an e-book with some promises on a complete system, or other remedy, a business problem you have (the secret to marketing by the way) …
Only to have this solution seems not to work (remember Cause # 1)?
So …
While surfing the net, you come across a similar solution, perhaps wrapped another way (the way you package your information is a second marketing secret). This solution seems to include a second piece of the puzzle in your internet business life.
How can it make you feel?
The majority would feel this (I can not speak for all):
"Dang it, why not mean that other e-book gives me all the answer, as this does! "
Guess what, this eBook does not give you the whole answer. But I bet you feel "Lied." Some people even take this feeling a step further and get a refund on the second page e-book … and read this one with a "complete" response (it is not).
The conclusion is that there are a few points which is the bottom line here:
* With the knowledge that we do not want to make one sales to our customers and we want to find as broad a part of our niche that we can with more products … why on earth would any marketer worth their salt all give you a complete answer in just one Ebook? We do not. Instead, we work to build your confidence enough to buy another piece of the solution from us … and will structure offers with that in mind (keep you as a customer).
That is why my business model is only offering complete solutions for my clients (ie coaching, copywriting and advice, etc. ..). While more of an investment, I know that I could never offer a complete solution in an eBook.
* You are lazy by nature. You have to to try to stifle that part of your character, knowing that there is no magic pill to grow businesses, period.
* The time you wasted buying ebook after e-book would be better invested in testing a piece of marketing, and finding a scientific process of your own that will work with your company alone (so you can sell an e-book to others in this process;)).
* If you are about to use the excuse "Joe, I believe in self education, and these e-books are only purchased to satisfy the end of my business. "I will probably refer you to your primary computer's hard drive and ask you to do a deep gut check two things … 1) How many e-books you have on the hard disk.
Now I would have you compare it with 2) How many e-books on the hard disk, you have pure actually read and fully implemented. You see, self-education is a part of my business too … but I can tell you that any e-book or educational material I have now been studied and implemented. Not to say that I am perfect in any way, I was where you are now about four years ago and has since deleted all e-books my hard drive.
I have found that ultimately, in most cases we already have the ability to build businesses. We have to evolve with our business online, make mistakes, pay the fees and grow a success to really know how to do it again. This type of process will not take so long if you quit purchase e-books and looking for the magic pill. It does not exist.
Once you know how to build a very successful business, you can just copy and eliminating errors … and e-books will not be necessary.
