How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

You can use two methods to apply for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. You can apply through offline and online both ways, whatever you like. For that, you have to fill out a form. For offline, you have to go to the bank and take form. Otherwise, you can fill the form by visiting the Government site (http://pmfby.gov.in).

Required documents for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

In order to avail of this scheme, the farmer has to give his address, an ID card, whether it is a PAN card, a driving license, a voter ID card or an Aadhar card and an address proof along with it.
If the farm is in the name of the farmer and belongs to him, then add his measles number/account number with the form.

In addition, if the farmer has sown the crop in the field, then you have to present proof of this along with the form. For this, you can write a letter from the village patwari, sarpanch or principals and sign them. Apart from this, if you have rented the farm and then sown the crop, then you have to put together all the documents written on the farm owner.

Important things to notice in Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

The farmer will have to fill the form within 10 days of the sowing of the crop
If there is a natural disaster during 14 days of harvesting your crop, causing damage to the crop, you can still take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
This plan will only be compensated by losses due to natural calamities.
