Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the notification of SSC CHSL 2019 recruitment examination on December 3. All the information regarding SSC CHSL 2019 like exam dates, exam pattern, eligibility, application process, etc. will be mentioned in the notification. However, the Commission may or may not mention the number of vacancies. As per the trends followed in the past few years, it is expected that the total number of vacancies this year will be around 6000. Let’s take a look on SSC CHSL vacancies for the years 2018 and 2017.

Aspirants must note that SSC CHSL is conducted for the recruitment of candidates at the post of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators. The total number of vacancies are divided for each post.

SSC CHSL vacancies are further divided category-wise and for the offices and departments where the qualified candidates will be posted. The Commission will release a comprehensive notice with SSC CHSL 2019. Candidates will be able to fill SSC CHSL 2019 application form from December 3 to January 10, 2020. 

SSC will also release SSC CHSL 2019 Application Form on December 3. Aspiring candidates will be able to apply for the recruitment exam till January 10, 2020. SSC CHSL is conducted in three phases – Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. Candidates who register for the exam will have to clear each stage in order to qualify the exam. Qualifying candidates of one stage will be able to appear for the subsequent stage. 

SSC CHSL Tier-I is an objective type test that includes four sections – general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, and English comprehension. According to SSC CHSL exam pattern, Tier-I includes 100 questions of 2 marks each and candidates are given a total of 1 hour to attempt the paper. 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response that the candidates make. 

Tier-II examination of SSC CHSL is a descriptive test in which candidates will have to attempt two questions of letter/application writing and essay writing. Tier-II will be conducted for 100 marks and candidates will be given 1 hour to attempt both questions. 

Candidates who qualify in SSC CHSL Tier-II exam will be called to appear for Tier-III examination. The exam pattern of SSC CHSL Tier-III is post specific. Candidates will be tested on their typing skill test. 

As per SSC CHSL 2019 exam dates, Tier-I is scheduled to be conducted from March 16 to 27, 2020 while Tier-II will be conducted on June 28, 2020. Exam dates for Tier-III are yet to be announced.
