The highlight of the trip is a visit to the Turtuk village, which is a hidden gem in Ladakh. There are no words to define the beauty of this hidden valley which was earlier in Pakistan. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar

Once you reach the Hotel in Dal Lake or the Deluxe Houseboat at Srinagar, our representative will greet you with a warm welcome. Have lunch and enjoy the shikara ride at the lake and then proceed to drive to the Mughal Garden. This trip also includes the visit to Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Gardens in your sightseeing schedule. Stay overnight at Srinagar.

Day 2: Drive from Srinagar to Kargil (204 Kms / 6-7 Hrs.)

After morning breakfast, start your journey to Kargil. Enroute visit the Sonmarg and Zodjila pass. Visit the second coldest inhabitant in the world – Drass village. See the war memorial hall and museum and reach Kargil by evening. Stay overnight here.

Day 3: Drive to Leh from Kargil

Drive to Lamayuru Monastery after breakfast. Also visit the Magnetic Hill, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame museum. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 4: Explore on your own

Today is free day for you to rest and get acclimatized to the weather. Later you can go to explore local markets and do shopping.

Day 5: Drive to Nubra Valley from Leh (120 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)

Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft.). Have lunch and get ready to enjoy the camel safari at Sand Dunes located between Diskit & Hundur villages. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Day 6: Visit from Nubra to Turtuk and back

This less popular destination recently opened for tourist is the hidden treasure of Ladakh. If you are looking to explore some unique destination in Ladakh, then this is the place. Your thirst for a beautiful location ends here. One of the most fascinating journeys, this route will take you through spectacular mountains and lovely villages. Turtuk is controlled mainly by the Ladakh Scouts, a rear department of the India Army. This place is at the border between India and Pakistan, captured by the Indian Army in 1971.

Locals have relatives across the border in Balistan, which is a beautiful village with charming locals. Locals depend mainly on farming of vegetables, apricot besides providing mules and porters. You can hear the history of the place from these locals who will tell you how on 13th December 1971 the people of this village who belonged to Pakistan woke up in the region which belonged to India next day. This remote northwest corner of Ladakh will leave you speechless and astounded. After a full day of rough excursion drive back to Nubra Valley in the evening stay overnight at the camp in Nubra Valley.

Day 7: Visit Pangong Tso via Shayok route

After breakfast you can visit Diskit Monastery, which is the oldest and the largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. Catch the magnificent view of Nubra Valley from the top of the monastery. Later drive to Pangong Tso Lake via Shayok River passing through avid landscape enjoying the thrill and adventure. Stop for lunch at Durbuk village on the way. Overnight stay at Pangong and enjoy the star-gazing experience.

Day 8: Drive to Leh from Pangong Lake via Chang La

Don’t forget to watch the early morning picturesque view of sunrise on the lake. After breakfast, get ready for your drive back to Leh. Enroute, you shall visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. You can explore the local markets of Leh in the evening.

Day 9: Drive to Jispa via Sarchu

After early morning breakfast, you shall drive via Sarchu passing through the Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth – Skyangchu Thang. Arrive at Pang by crossing Nakeela and Lachlung La and have a hot lunch. Continue to drive towards Jispa and check-in by evening. Overnight stay at Jispa.

Day 10: Drive from Jispa to Manali (140 Kms/ 6 Hrs )

Start your journey towards Manali, which is a beautiful scenic drive crossing Baralacha La at the height of 15,896 ft. Lunch at Sissu village and later cross famous Rohtang Pass at an altitude of 13,050 ft. Reach Manali and check-in to the hotel. You can go for sightseeing in Manali depending on traffic and time of arrival.

Day 11: Tour end (Departure)

Your beautiful journey to the land of high passes has come to an end now. Depart with beautiful memories of your Leh Ladakh tour and move towards the airport or station as per your travel arrangements. Our executive can arrange for airport transfers if informed 3 hours in advance.

Seating plan on a daily rotation basis and not chosen by personal interest
