Rock music was further divided into sub genres like psychedelic rock, blues-rock, progressive rock, etc.
The introduction of disco music in the 1970s was appreciated by the people. The trend stays relevant for the next decade. Artists like Marvin Gaye, Elton John, etc., came to the picture being influenced by disco music.

In the 1980s, MTV (music television) became successful. The trend touches the heights that influence many artists & bands to record video-songs bands to gain maximum popularity.
Michael Jackson was one of the most famous artists of the decade as he launched creative music videos and his remarkable dancing moves. The decade also has much love for hip-hop and became a well-known music genre.

The 80s tribute band is the way to mesmerize the old artists’ famous music and build a great aura. The 1990s was much of the 80s music genre but got artists with wonderful voices like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc.
Today music follows the mixed approach, making new genres and using the 80s style. Music has been a great part from ancient times.
