In1920s, jazz, blues, and traveling dance bands were popular at that time. That was the time when the First World War occurred. Despite all the prohibitions and restrictions by the government, nobody has control over the music. Music has no limits and gives the feeling of freedom, no matter what’s going around.

We all remember the 80s band playing that classic music. Now the genre has moved to the next level, but there is something that has never changed. In this post, we will be discussing the history of music. How has it grown over the decade?

The 1940s

The 1940s was another decade that struggled with the Second World War. However, things were different during this difficult period. The majority of the world was busy with the war, and many artists got a chance to introduce music to serve relaxation to the people during wartime. Jazz, Swing music and Big band were popular at that time and the music motivated people not to lose hope. 

The impact of the 1940s was much on the next decade that brought significant social changes in the world. Artists like Chuck Berry & Elvis Presley were the attraction in the 1950s. 

The 1960s 

Though there was not a big difference in the 1960s from the 50s. However, there was a lot of hot war going in the music industry. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, and much more were introducing new flavors to the music and making people nuts with their hits. Rock music was further divided into sub genres like psychedelic rock, blues-rock, progressive rock, etc.

The introduction of disco music in the 1970s was appreciated by the people. The trend stays relevant for the next decade. Artists like Marvin Gaye, Elton John, etc., came to the picture being influenced by disco music.

The 1980s

In the 1980s, MTV (music television) became successful. The trend touches the heights that influence many artists & bands to record video-songs bands to gain maximum popularity. 

Michael Jackson was one of the most famous artists of the decade as he launched creative music videos and his remarkable dancing moves. The decade also has much love for hip-hop and became  a well-known music genre.

The 80s tribute band is the way to mesmerize the old artists’ famous music and build a great aura. The 1990s was much of the 80s music genre but got artists with wonderful voices like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc. 

Today music follows the mixed approach, making new genres and using the 80s style. Music has been a great part from ancient times. Platforms like YouTube are allowing artists around the world to show their talent. Whether it’s a live music concert or private parties, 80s music still has much influence till today that attracts the audience to the peak.
